well put together but....

I thought it was a well studied and well put together flash... But... it was teeming with fundamentalist paranoia. I liked the inclusion of Vicaus Filli Dei, but would also point out that 666 can be found almost anywhere. Did you know that both the name Saddam and Huessein can equal 666 using Hebrew Gematria (a form of numerology.) Also, Ronald Wilson Reagan (6 letters each) or, WWW (as in world wide web)... you see, there were no "W" in Greek, so some people think that when John saw WWW, he wrote it down as VI VI VI. There's also Bill Gates... Using the ASCII programming code, BILL GATES III translates to 666. Ummm... there's another one where the word computer can equal 666. In other words... the inscription enscribed on the pope's mitre really means nothing.

It isn't just the "666". For example, which church is responsible for the torture/murder of christians during the Dark Ages/Inquisition? Which church has the pastor wear scarlet/purple & using a golden cup in service? Which church changed the "set times & laws" of God? Catholic church. The 4th commdt is "remember the sabbath and keep it holy". The sabbath is 7th day, which is a Saturday, that is the day God told his people to rest. However, the Catholic church chose to change the church day to Sun(1st day of week). In the bible, in Mark 16:9, it says that Jesus rose on the 1st day of the week. Other bibles say that Jesus rose on Sunday. Most ppl know Jesus resurrected on "Easter Sunday"(1st day of week). Also, in Mark 16:1-4, it says that the Sabbath was over when the 1st day(Sun.) started. So therefore Sunday can NOT be Sabbath. Which church has idols(statues & crosses) inside the church? In the bible, it refers to the corrupt church as "MYSTERY BABYLON" because it is a mystery to most ppl who don't know the identity of this false church who deceives many ppl. It is that God's ppl, who are unknowingly inside Babylon(false churches) can leave there, & escape to Zion(true church). When the end comes, anyone who is in Babylon will be punished with the false prophets(like pope). In the end, when God destroys the whole world, don't be surprised when you see the catholic churches on fire, & its members destroyed. Whereas, the members of Zion(true church), will remain standing, unharmed by the fire of God, because the ones who follow the truth, have the seal of God, will not be harmed by the angels, but will be "passed over". In the end, the truth will be revealed, such as all the corrupt things that the catholic church does that you don't know or understand now. Those who were spiritually blind/deceived by the catholic church will see who they were actually following(the evil one). Maybe they'll have regret, but it'll be too late, they will be condemned with the rest of those who rejected the truth. God's people know that the end is coming, & while everyone is busy with their everyday lives, working or having fun, God will send his fire to destroy the wicked(those who break God's laws & commands). There are 2 types of ppl. 1)God's ppl who love God &keep God's commands. 2)Satan's ppl who hate God & reject God's commands. Deceived ppl follow the rules/traditions of men, such as Sunday service, Xmas, etc. Whereas, God's people follow the commands in the bible such as Sabbath, Passover, feasts, 10 comdmts, etc. Even if someone claims to "love" God, God told us that if we love him, we would KEEP the commands of God. Those who say they know God, but don't follow his commands, are liars. We know that those who lie about God will be punished severely/thrown into hell. A lot of people claim that it's unnecessary to follow the laws since Jesus resurrected. But Jesus himself set an example by keeping the law. Did you know that Jesus kept Sabbath/Passover and after Jesus resurrected, the apostles kept them too. If God himself created the laws for us, then what right do we have to change his laws? God = perfect. Man = imperfect. If the imperfect changes the perfect, then it will then become imperfect/corrupted. So God gave us Sabbath, which was perfect/holy. And yet men chose to change that day to Sunday, which is going against God's will. It's not a matter of standard human wisdom/ intellect. It's about whether God chose to open your spiritual eyes to see the truth. It has to do if you have a humble/open mind. Those who are wise in the world will be put to shame in the end, when they will be shown as fools in front of God. Look at how wise those Pharisees thought they were, but we know that Jesus disciples(even fishermen) who were poor/uneducated were "wise" in knowing the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. So if you sincerely want to find out about the truth & understand it, then you need to come to Zion(true church) & be baptized with the holy spirit.

to be totally honest...

Trust me... my background in fundamentalism could pick at a few doctrinal disagreements we may have, (differentiate between spirit and soul... Passover being an "old covenant" tradition, nullified by the death burial & ressurection of the one and final Passover Lamb Christ) BUT... those days are behind me... Now I tend to believe this- We live in America, a society that has HEARD the gospel for 300 years. 99% of people out there honestly don't care what one more fundie has to add to the pot. In the end, things like tracts, outreach programs, televangelism, and such dosent REALLY say anything about your own personal beleifs that you promote as truth. In fact, I've found that such a blatant approach to sharing my faith is actaully derrogatory to the desired goal. Let people see you... YOU are the witness... as Jesus said to his disciples before sending them off into the world... "You shall BE witnesses" Not "You SHALL witness." I may be out of line, if so, I apologize. I guess I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents on sharing the faith.

Violet-AIM responds:

The Passover of the new covenant was established by Jesus Christ, and also kept after the death/resurrection of Christ. If you notice, after Jesus ascended to heaven, the apostles still kept Passover and the rest of the 7 kinds of feasts. Passover of the new covenant(Christ's body/blood) was kept by christians, until it was abolished in 325 AD. The Council of Nicea (corrupt men) chose to abolish the Passover. You can research that if you don't believe me. Why would Passover need to be "abolished" if it wasn't previously in use? The bible had prophesied that Satan would change the set times and laws (Sabbath/Passover), and now most ppl would rather do traditions like Sunday/Christmas(which are not found anywhere in the bible). By being "witnesses" does not mean that a person keeps their mouth shut. If Jesus had kept the truth to himself, there would be no christians today(only Judaism and other religions). However, Jesus did spread the good news, and so did the apostles. Being filled with the Holy Spirit, they were not afraid to speak boldly to people of the truth, despite what people would say to them. Have you studied the parable of the Man with the Talents (Matt 25:14-30)? Very briefly, it's about a man who gives one slave 5 talents, another 2 talents, another 1 talent. Later, he came back, the slave with 5 brought back 5 more, the slave with 2 brought back 2 more, but the slave with 1 said he was afraid and hid it in the ground ("master, I knew that you were a harsh man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed")... then the master responded, "You wicked and lazy slave! You knew, did you, that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter?... As for this worthless slave, throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Being a "christian" is not about selfishly knowing the truth for yourself, but it is that now that you know, you should kindly share it to others, so they may have a chance to be saved too. Whether they are christians, atheists, agnostics, or whatever religion. Those who want to listen, will listen, those who don't, won't. Read 1 Corinthians 9:16 "... woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel!" 1 Cor. 9:24 "...Run in such a way that you may win it..." 1 Cor. 9:27 "...so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified". You may disagree with me about this, but honestly, if I myself were to know the truth and keep it to myself, I would be a wicked, lazy servant of God. The truth Christ established 2000yrs ago has been corrupted, so although the majority of ppl know generally about christianity, most do not know the hidden secrets and truth of eternal life, for if they did, they would already be keeping Sabbath, Passover, etc. In Heb. 9:28, it mentions that Christ came a 1st time to bear sins, but he would come a 2nd time for salvation. If we were already saved by Jesus dying on the cross, then why would it be necessary for Christ to come a 2nd time? Because he needed to remind us of the truth and show us how to be saved. The very truths that were trampled on by the false churches. If Christ came a 2nd time, how would you recognize him? When he came the 1st time, most ppl didn't recognize him either. The good news will be spread to the whole world (to gather all the lost brothers & sister), and then the end will come. The truth is very hard to accept when it goes against the traditions of the current age. Look at Jesus, apostles, Columbus, Magellan, etc. I'm being as honest as possible, though I know it's difficult to believe me.
